SONS OF SERENDIP is committed to creating emotionally stirring music that touches people's hearts and lifts audiences to a sublime experience.
Sons of Serendip is a classical crossover quartet formed by four friends who met in graduate school at Boston University. Lead vocalist Micah Christian earned his Master of Divinity, cellist Kendall Ramseur and harpist Mason Morton both hold Master of Music degrees, and pianist/guitarist Cordaro Rodriguez earned his Juris Doctorate before the group came together in 2014 to audition for "America's Got Talent."
Their audition performance of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" captivated the judges and a live audience of 3,000 at Madison Square Garden, with judge Mel B saying, "It kind of transported me somewhere else." The quartet advanced all the way to the finals of Season 9, ultimately finishing in fourth place.
Since then, Sons of Serendip has released multiple Billboard-charting albums and toured extensively across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Their most notable performances include collaborations with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops, the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and Cynthia Erivo, as well as an appearance during the "In Memoriam" segment of the 2016 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
The group has also been featured at high-profile private and charitable events, including Oprah Winfrey's 2020 Vision Tour closing party, Hank Aaron's Chasing the Dream Foundation, and One Family's 15th-anniversary gala, where they opened for John Legend. In 2019, Sons of Serendip returned to the "America's Got Talent" stage as part of the first-ever "America's Got Talent: The Champions," competing alongside 50 winners and finalists from AGT franchises worldwide.
Blending vocals, harp, piano, and cello into a unique sound, Sons of Serendip brings fresh, soulful interpretations of the music audiences love—from "Moon River" to "Carry On Wayward Son"—delivering a genuine, spiritual, and timeless concert experience.
